One-Eighty Secures Angels’ Den Funding to Expand Mental Health Support in Buckinghamshire, in Collaboration with Restore Hope
Last week, One-Eighty, in partnership with Restore Hope, had the privilege of presenting at The Clare Foundation’s Angels’ Den Awards. It was an inspiring evening celebrating charities making a difference across Buckinghamshire. Congratulations to all the incredible organisations who took part and showcased the vital work happening across the county.
Our pitch highlighted the critical gap in mental health services for young people who are slipping through the net, particularly during the vital transition from Year 6 to Year 7. The leap from primary to secondary school can be daunting, and too many young people disengage or fall out of education altogether as a result of the sudden new challenges.
We shared how, by combining our strengths with Restore Hope, we plan to tackle this challenge head-on.
About Restore Hope
Based at Latimer Park in the Chilterns, Restore Hope has been supporting young people and families since 2002. Their vision is to see lives and communities transformed, particularly for those facing difficult circumstances. Through a range of activities, courses and events, they create opportunities for people to build confidence, learn new skills and discover renewed purpose in a safe and welcoming environment.
One-Eighty brings a proven track record of delivering intensive, tailored interventions for vulnerable young people. Restore Hope brings long-standing, trusted relationships with families and a safe space where young people feel they belong. Together, we can offer both the depth and continuity of support needed to change lives.
We were thrilled to be awarded £20,000 to bring this vision to life. As our CEO, Susie Besant, shared on the night: “For us it isn’t just about a one-off project, it’s a long-term sustainable project.”
This award also marks an important milestone for One-Eighty: the growth of our work in Buckinghamshire. We know the need here is high, and with this funding, we are taking our first steps towards a stronger, more consistent presence in the county.
We’re incredibly grateful to The Clare Foundation and the Angels for their generosity and belief in our work. By investing in collaborative approaches, we can turn more young lives around in Buckinghamshire.
Stay tuned as we share updates on the impact of this project in the months ahead.
