MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT
Location: Remote (or hybrid/office based in Oxford or Aylesbury)
Salary: £42,000per annum pro-rata (experience dependent)
Hours: 22.5 hours per week; Permanent following probation period
We are seeking a qualified, part-qualified (or qualified by experience) Management Accountant to shape and develop our finance functions as we continue our expansion.
About One-Eighty
This is a new post for the charity, and you will work closely with the COO to form the role. One-Eighty is a growing charity which bridges the gap between mental health and education. We provide one-to-one interventions for young people with complex needs alongside running a number of preventative mental health projects. We operate in Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire and have offices in both locations. Our projected turnover this year is £1.2million.
About the Role
To provide financial information, insight and expertise to enhance One-Eighty’s financial decision making.
As our Management Accountant, you will:
Produce accurate and timely monthly management accounts. Investigate, interrogate and interpret variances. Collaborate with others to write meaningful commentary.
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
Oversee completion of year-end process.
Develop and maintain effective financial systems and controls to improve processes and reporting.
Support fundraising activities by providing financial reports that assist with grant applications, donor engagement, and fundraising campaigns.
Provide ad-hoc financial analysis to assist with pricing, project decisions and strategic initiatives.

Highly organised with an ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
A proactive approach with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone with:
Essential Skills and Experience
Experience in producing and analysing management accounts in a commercial or charity setting.
ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent qualification, or part qualified or qualified by significant experience.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and explain financial matters to non-finance staff and stakeholders.
Proficient in accounting software (experience with Xero is desirable).
Desirable Skills and Experience
Understanding of charity accounting regulations, particularly SORP (Statement of Recommended Practice).
Experience within the charity sector or a not-for-profit environment.
Knowledge of charity fundraising and reporting requirements for grants and donations.
Passion for the charity sector, particularly ensuring all young people have access to education.
