Exam Season
Exam season is here, and with it comes real pressure on young people and on families.
Research from YoungMinds found that 63% of 15–18 year olds said they struggled to cope in the lead up to and during GCSE and A Level exams. Of these, 15% stopped going to school, and many others experienced worsening mental health, anxiety and significant impacts on their sleep and wellbeing.
The pressure to meet academic expectations can be a lot to carry, and is often felt by parents, carers and families too.
One-Eighty also recognises the impact of this time of year on young people who are not in school. The feeling of being left behind, of watching peers reach milestones from a distance, carries its own weight — for young people and parents alike.
Every young person deserves access to learning through emotional safety and the right support around them. That's what One-Eighty exists to provide.
