Oxford Half Marathon 2027 - Terms & Conditions

These terms apply between you (“the participant”) and One-Eighty (“the charity”).

Some conditions apply only to those taking part with a Charity Place (provided by the charity), as set out below, but will not apply to runners with their own place in the event.

1. Event organisation and data

1.1 The event is organised by a third-party organiser, Motiv Sports UK via their platform Let’s Do This. One-Eighty will share relevant information The Participant provides with the organiser to support the planning and delivery of the event. Motiv Sports UK may request additional personal information to ensure the safe running of the event. For further details on how The Participant's data will be used, please see www.one-eighty.org.uk/policies and the organiser terms (www.oxfordhalf.com/terms-and-conditions-2027).

2. Charity Place Participants

The following clauses apply only if The Participant has accepted a Charity Place with One-Eighty.

2.1 The Participant agree to pay a non-refundable registration fee to secure The Participant's Charity Place. This fee does not count towards The Participant's fundraising target.

2.2 Each individual runner commits to raising a minimum of £250 for One-Eighty, excluding Gift Aid, in addition to the registration fee. Gift Aid cannot be used to meet this minimum or to cover any fundraising shortfall. The Participant agree to raise as much as possible above this amount.

2.3 All fundraising must be paid to One-Eighty within six weeks of the event. If The Participant does not reach the £250 minimum (excluding Gift Aid), The Participant agree to personally donate the shortfall.

2.4 Charity Places cannot be deferred or transferred. If The Participant are unable to take part, The Participant agree to inform One-Eighty’s Fundraising and Engagement Team as soon as possible.

2.5 The Participant must complete any additional registration required by the event organiser by the stated deadline. Failure to do so may result in The Participant's place being withdrawn. One-Eighty will make reasonable efforts to notify The Participant of any applicable deadlines.

3. Own Place participants

3.1 If The Participant has secured The Participant's own place directly with the event organiser and are fundraising for One-Eighty, the registration fee, minimum fundraising target and shortfall liability set out in section 2 do not apply.

3.2 Own Place participants are encouraged to raise as much as possible for One-Eighty, but there is no minimum fundraising requirement.

4. Circumstances where a Charity Place may be withdrawn

4.1 One-Eighty reserves the right to withdraw and re-allocate a Charity Place when:

a) The Participant's behaviour risks bringing One-Eighty into disrepute.

b) The Participant fail to complete the event organiser’s registration within seven days of receipt, or within 24 hours if the event is within four weeks.

c) The Participant does not create a fundraising page at least three months before the event, or within 48 hours if registering within three months of the event.

d) The Participant does not begin fundraising within the expected timeframes. At least 10% raised eight weeks before the event and at least 40% of The Participant's fundraising target raised four weeks before the event.

e) The Participant has previously taken part in an event for One-Eighty and failed to meet fundraising or participation requirements.

5. All participants

5.1 The Participant confirm that The Participant will be aged 17 or over on the day of the event.

5.2 One-Eighty does not organise this event and accepts no liability for any injury, illness, death, loss or damage to personal property, or any costs or claims arising from The Participant's participation.

5.3 The Participant confirm that, to the best of The Participant's knowledge, The Participant is in good health and acknowledge that The Participant is taking part in the event at their own risk.

5.4 The Participant agrees to follow all reasonable instructions from the event organiser and their authorised representatives and accept responsibility for their own actions.

5.5 The event itinerary may change due to weather conditions or other unforeseen circumstances. The Participant should refer to the event organiser’s terms and conditions (www.oxfordhalf.com/terms-and-conditions-2027) for further information.

5.6 All funds raised must be paid to One-Eighty as soon as possible and no later than six weeks after the event. Payments may be made via JustGiving, debit or credit card, cheque or bank transfer.

5.7 The Participant agree that One-Eighty may use photographs, videos or other images in which The Participant appear, taken at the event, for marketing purposes without payment. One-Eighty will not identify individuals by name without their consent. If The Participant does not wish to be photographed or for images to be used, please notify One-Eighty by emailing fundraising@one-eighty.org.uk.
